Fair Favorites in Full Swing

Watsonville, CA – When you arrive at the Santa Cruz County Fair, you can make a bee line for your favorite activity or location, like the Bug Barn.

Or, sometimes, the entertainment finds you!

Cisco Jim is The Singing Cowboy. He’s riding his horse, Taza de Mogollon, around the fairgrounds singing and telling stories about the good old days here in the West. Cisco Jim is a retired educator with much to teach. Taza is a Spanish Barb, a direct descendent of the first horses brought to the New World from Spain.

Flo the Clown and Jeremy the Juggler are also roaming the fairgrounds, just typically clowning around.

Where else but the Fair, do you have the option of riding a camel? Grab a friend or two (camels can carry more than half their weight!) and hop on the back of a Dromedary Camel. One lump or two, you ask? One. These awesome animals love being around people.

Next door to the camel rides, you’ll find the famous All-Alaskan Racing Pigs. The prestigious porkers are the fastest and funniest athletes you’ll see anywhere. After the race, stick around for an opportunity to meet one of the little piggies. They love to pose for pictures… they’re real hams!

As always, check the schedule for shows time for Twinkle Time and Michael Mezmer. Both beloved performers pack in audiences at the Tank House stage multiple times, daily.

Photos and video available upon request.
