Don’t Miss Out – Enter Now!

Watsonville, CA – Please help us spread the word! Deadlines are fast approaching for anyone who wants to enter an animal, vegetable, poem, or photo in the 2023 Santa Cruz County Fair.

Most online entry deadlines are Thursday, August 24th, including livestock.
The Poultry deadline is August 5th.

Please check the Entry Guide to confirm the deadline, and receiving schedule, of each specific department.

Help Plant Flowers for the Fairgrounds – Volunteer Opportunity

Watsonville, CA – The Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds Foundation is seeking volunteers to come out and plant flowers for the upcoming Santa Cruz County Fair. A workday is scheduled for Thursday July 27 at 4:00 PM.

Planting will begin at 4:00 and will wrap up by 6:30 at which time a hotdog BBQ dinner will be served.

This is first time in several years that flower planting will be a public event. If you are interested in volunteering contact the Foundation office at (831) 786-9698 or at .

Santa Cruz County Fair Hires New Fair Manager

Watsonville, CA – The Santa Cruz County Fair has hired Zeke Fraser as the new manager of the Santa Cruz County Fair and fairgrounds.

Fraser has more than 25 years of experience in general management, banking, property management, customer service, operations and logistics.

Not only does Fraser have extensive experience, but he’s also a Santa Cruz County local. He’s lived in Santa Cruz for nearly 30 years.
