If you or someone you know will be entering Market Beef in this year’s fair, please be advised that the mandatory Market Beef Ear Tagging and Brand Inspection event will take place Wednesday, May 30, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the 101 Livestock Sales Yard. No wild animals will be tagged. Scales will be open for weighing animals as a courtesy to our exhibitors.

OWNERSHIP REQUIREMENTS – Market Beef Animals entered in the fair must be owned by the exhibitor by May 14, 2012 (120 days prior to opening of fair).

Independent exhibitors entering market animals must provide Fair Management with a picture of their animal, appropriate proof of ownership, permanent tag, tattoo and/or hog ear notch information 120 days prior to the fair for beef and 60 days for sheep, swine and goats. Please submit these items to the Fair Office by May 14 for Beef, July 13 for sheep, swine and goats, and August 12 for breeding animals or rabbits.

Personal liability insurance is required and may be purchased from Fair Management by entry due date, August 4, 2012.
