FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 5, 2013

Watsonville, CA – The driving force behind this year’s Santa Cruz County Fair is “New, interesting and innovative” explained Fair Manager Dave Kegebein.  “It looks like we may have achieved our goal” he added.

While keeping everything Fairgoers most love about the Fair, a long list of new attractions has been added.  “We’ve got everything from racing turkeys to camel rides to valet parking, it’s going to be quite a Fair” promises Kegebein.

The list of what’s new includes:

  • - Opening Night Gala
  • - Valet Parking
  • - Wild West Turkey Stampede
  • - Nancy’s Amazing World of Birds Show
  • - Camel Rides
  • - Dr. Solar’s Good Time Sunshine Traveling Medicine Show
  • - Ag Department Demonstration Kitchen
  • - Bug Barn
  • - Heritage Hall - Music and Adult Beverages
  • - Hay Maze
  • - Bruno’s Barbeque
  • - New Orleans Cajun food

All the above and still room for Michael Mezmer Hypnotist, racing pigs, splashing sea lions, great carnival rides, cinnamon rolls, cute chicks (in the poultry building!) and so much more.

The Santa Cruz County Fair celebrates the rich agricultural history of our community and people, and invests heavily in bringing this heritage to our youth.  The 2013 Fair will be held September 10 - 15 at the Fairgrounds located on Highway 152 just east of Watsonville.  Information on the Fair, and the Fairgrounds - a year round entertainment and event venue, can be found at www.santacruzcountyfair.com
